The Hungarian-Greek band’s special all night long musical program, who they feel honored to invite their musician friends all around the world. In this time Haig Yazdjian with his oud and Yann Keerim on piano will be our guests. A trully mystical night for everybody, especially music
lovers of the East, such as Turkish, Armenian and Greek.

The program organized by Meybahar and supported by Fonó Budai Zeneház

Acclaimed Syrian born, Armenian origin, Greek resident and Global citizen Haig Yazdjian is an oud soloist, composer and a singer too. Born in Syria of Armenian parents emigrated to Greece in the early '80s and as a young man, the electric guitar was on his mind rather than the oud. In the resonance of the instrument though, he did discover, the undiscovered lands of his expressive pursuits. In just a few years he established himself as a leading soloist in Greece.
Through five groundbreaking albums, released worldwide through Greece’s most prestigious Record Label (Libra Music). The way Yazdjian treated traditional Armenian compositions, middle eastern expressions and his own compositions accelerated his popularity and charted him as one of the most promising composers.
Over the years Haig Yazdjian has collaborated with the most prominent composers and singers as well as with soloists of international stature. Among them: Nikos Xydakis, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Savina Yannatou, Maria Farantouri, Dimitra Galani, Elli Paspala, David Lynch, Michalis Nikoloudis, Melina Kana, Eleni Vitali, Dave Spillain, Omar Farouk Tekbilek, Djivan Gasparyan, Theodossii Spassov, Enver Izmaylov, Ara Dinkjian, Derya Turkan, Yinon Muallem, Glen Velez, Elisa Vellia and many others.

Yann Keerim (GR)

Yann began playing piano at the age of four and received his diploma in classical music at the age of 16. As pianist he has performed with jazz and ‘world music’ artists such as Sokratis Sinopoulos, Ara Dinkjian, Eleytheria Arvanitaki, Haig Yazdjian. In 2013 he recorded for ECM
records as the pianist of the Sokratis Sinopoulos Quartet and the internationally released record “Eight Winds”. New York Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Barcelona Palau De La Musica, Milan Picollo Teatro, Copenhaghen Concert Hall and Athens Onassis Cultural Foundation are some of the venues Yann has performed as a pianist. As a composer, Yann has composed over 350 tracks of production music – most of which are licensed for use in films & videos through music libraries worldwide.
Thanks to the invitation of Meybahar, and supported by Fonó, we have a unique chance to listen their music face to face, first time in Hungary
