Okos Viola album launch

Okos Viola, singer and songwriter (Odd ID / former Ethnofil, Makám Quartet, Fuvalom Vocal Ensemble), will present her solo material at a record release concert, featuring folk music renditions.

She has been involved in music since childhood, and through her family, she discovered the stage through folk music. After her music school years in Eger, she continued her studies as a singer and violinist at the Váci Bartók-Pikéthy School of Music, specializing in folk music. In addition to folk music, she has been influenced by various other musical genres and has created in the pop music styles as a performer.

Apart from the violin, she also performs with the guitar and koboz.

She has been a member of the Odd ID/Ethnofil band for 13 years, where they blend ethno, progressive, and electronic elements in their unique sound, now labeling themselves as "post-pop."

This year, she became the singer and violinist for Krulik Zoltán's formation, the Makám Quartet, and a member of the Fuvalom folk a cappella ensemble. She has been performing solo regularly for a few years.

She is the author, recorder, and editor of the musical material on the upcoming EP. Visual material was also added to the debut EP this year, so the songs will be released with accompanying music videos. The folk song adaptations are infused with alternative genres, creating a refined, contemplative, atmospheric musical world. The songs are pieces written for koboz and guitar, with vocal, violin, and various sound effects as complementary elements.
