Chamber Thursday: M.A.D.A.M. Band

The essence of M.A.D.A.M. Band lies in the intertwining of four unique personalities and musical directions, resulting in a distinctive yet harmonious sound. The members of the band are Réka Horváth (guitar, vocals), Csenge Hrotkó (flute, vocals, ukulele, kanna), Eszter Táibl (vocals, ukulele, cajón, percussion) and Tamara Naszer (cello, backing vocals). The lyrics and sound of their songs draw both from the girls’ everyday lives and from situations unfolding in the world around them, with world music, jazz, classical music and folk songs serving as their main sources of inspiration. They experiment with different languages, the sounds created by words, modal scales, various arrangements and, last but not least, directly addressing and involving the audience. You may have encountered them at venues and events including the House of Music Hungary, KAZI, the Űrtyúk Festival, Zsivágó, the Made in Pécs Festival and the RS9 Theatre. Following the recent release of their album KÉK, they are now bringing along some new, summery songs as well!
