Ördöngös Folk Music School

The Fonó branch of the Ördöngös Folk Music School from Komárom has now launched, where you can learn folk music from István Horsa every Monday.

If you missed the open day, don’t worry, there is still a chance to join the music lessons! Following the “Ördöngös” method, children learn to play the gardon during their first year, then move on to cello and double bass from their second year. Every Monday between 15:00 and 18:00, we welcome those who would like to learn the gardon, with groups starting from age 6.

Between 18:30 and 22:00, the focus shifts to the music of Mezőség and Kalotaszeg: you can learn to play the violin and accompanying instruments and make music together.
