Revolutionary Concert and Dance House: Nagy Csomor András and his Band

On the evening of March 14, the celebration begins at the Fonó with a concert, carrying the night forward with music and dance into March 15.

Starting from the traditions of Hungarian instrumental music, Nagy Csomor András and his band shift moods and styles with natural ease, one musical space blends into another. The program evokes the relaxed atmosphere of 1920s bars, the driving energy of Latin salsa, the heat of a flamenco night, the smoky hum of jazz clubs, the pulse of the Balkans, as well as the distinctive power of Gypsy music heard in Hungarian restaurants and the vivid world of folk music.

The concert unfolds organically, and for this special occasion the band is preparing a new composition with a revolutionary spirit. They are also playing the first round of the dance house, allowing the evening to flow seamlessly into shared music-making and dancing.
