Photos using the 160 year old technique used at the time of our great, great grandparents

Within the framework of Fonó's Wednesday Dance House -

On November 11th we open an exhibition of photography by Zoltán Gyetvai from the former Upper Hungary region (today in Slovakia).

The photographer uses a 160 year old technique to achieve exceptionally sculptural images. He uses a damp colloidal process to make photographs on glass plates. The exhibition takes us on a journey back in time. Gyetvai has many times accompanied ethnomusicologist Gergely Agócs on his field collection trips in Slovakia and the exhibition includes a series of magnificent portraits of Agócs's informants.

The exhibition can be viewed free of charge through December 15th, 2015 - anytime the Fonó is open.
