Every month World Music Charts Europe publishes their top list when 50 world music radio experts from 25 different countries vote on the 20 best records of the month.

In February 2021 Lajkó Félix & Band’s album "START" was voted seventh on the list.
Ötödik évszak ’s record “ Ne rejtsd el ” was number 13 on the list in both January and February.
Both are Fonó releases!

Another Hungarian record, “Lakatos Mónika & the Gipsy Voices” is number 17 on the list.

Lajkó Félix & Band’s “START” album has also been on Transglobal World Music Charts, the Czech list and Balkan World Music Charts since January.

That many Hungarian records rarely make the international world music top lists at one time.

Ötödik Évszak Band was formed when Csoóri Sándor Jr. “Sündi” (viola, tambura, coboz, voice) called together an excellent group of musicians: Hegedűs Máté (violin), Zimber Ferenc (cymbalom), Szabó Csobán Gergő (double bass, voice), and Hungarian-French singer Izabella Caussanel. They debuted at the WOMEX showcase program in October 2020 when music professionals from all over the world viewed their concert online. After several memorable concerts the virtuoso violinist from Voivodina Lajkó Félix, & Band recorded their album “START”. They’ve obviously found their sound. New Lajkó compositions and an inspiring musical process between creative musicians carry the listener to amazing depths and heights. Perhaps this is the most liberated production we’ve heard Lajkó Félix in yet. The record can be found at Fonó webbolt: http://webbolt.fono.hu/lajkofelix.start
